WHOOSH 2024

Published by Ben on

Whoosh is our annual parish long distance cycle ride. This year, 30 people from our parish community past and present, will be heading back to where Whoosh began 20 years ago – the Welsh hills! We will be cycling up the west coast of Wales from Tenby to Llandudno over the weekend Friday 3rd May to Monday 6th May. This year we are raising money for two charities.

Our local charity is CHIPS (Christian International Peace Service). They aim to bring about peace and reconciliation in areas of conflict or tension. We will focus on their work with young people in Brixton to address serious youth violence. Our youth team leader Cas Moyo is closely involved in this.

Our international charity is Gaza Sunbirds at Amos Trust. Amos are a small international justice charity. They support the Gaza Sunbirds, an incredible group of cycling para-athletes who deliver food packs, tents and medical supplies in the Gaza strip.
