Small Groups

Courses and small groups are a great place for friendship and to learn more about one’s faith, to pray and learn from the Bible together.

There are a few different groups in the parish meeting during the daytime or evenings, weekly or less frequently. Contact Gill Tayleur for more details via 07546 539737 or

Living in Love and Faith

Living in Love and Faith sets out to inspire people to think more deeply about what it means to be human and to live in love and faith with one another. It tackles the tough questions and the divisions among Christians about what it means to follow Jesus in a society in which understandings and practices of gender, sexuality and marriage continue to change.

Last year about 30 people attended the adult version of the course. JGL youth have also done the course. Many of those attending were keen that our parish does more to welcome LGBTQI+ people and to affirm their varied relationships. Others grappled with the material and came to no firm conclusion/ resolution, and a few stood by their support of the church’s traditional view of sexual ethics regarding same sex relationships.
It is proposed that a group be formed to discuss what steps our parish takes next, acting on the desire of many to affirm LGBTQI+ relationships, but also taking particular care to keep people of all viewpoints informed and included in the way forward. If you want to be part of this group please do speak to Ben Goodyear. And of course, if this course or the topics above raise any personal issues for you or your family or friends that you would like to discuss in confidence, please do speak to Ben Goodyear or Gill Tayleur.
