Partnering with Citizens UK

Published by Ben on

We have recently become a member of Citizens UK, to help us achieve many of our MAP goals for 2021 including:

  • Provide pastoral & practical help, advice & support for our local community
  • Be a green & Fairtrade parish & make a positive environmental impact
  • Work towards racial justice & equality, adding 10 new BAME leaders by 2022

Citizens UK is a people power alliance of diverse local communities working together for the common good. This is done through Community Organising, a method of social change with a rich history in the US Civil Rights movement and a 30-year track record here in the UK. Our approach is to use Community Organising to build diverse alliances of local communities, capable of making change on a range of issues for the long-term.

Many other local churches, schools and other institutions are also members. In due course we will share much more about how you can get involved and what training is available, but, in the meantime, if you want to find out more please visit: https://www.citizensuk.org/about-us/

If you are interested in being involved in Citizens or part of our Racial Justice & Equality team then please contact Ben Goodyear via

If you would like to join our Green and & Fairtrade Team please contact Trevor Tayleur.
