Parish Weekend Away 2023!
The Parish Weekend Away is back for another year.
We really hope you will join us at the lovely, and much loved, High Leigh Conference Centre in Hertfordshire for all or part of the weekend of 7-9 July.
There is something for everyone, a chance to worship, reflect, relax, and have fun, with others, or have some time for yourself. The beds are comfy the food is plentiful, and the company is excellent.
The theme of our learning and worship will be Encountering God Together. Our speakers for the weekend will be Amy and Toby Hole, who are Anglican clergy serving in Sheffield Diocese and good friends of our vicar Ben Goodyear. Toby is the Director of Mission and Ministry for Sheffield Diocese. Amy is currently serving her curacy in Sheffield, alongside teaching at St Hild College and elsewhere, and writing for Scripture Union. Ben Goodyear will finish the teaching on the Sunday. There is a great children’s programme run by Heather and Beth Peters and the teenagers will be with Bex.
There will also be campfires and marshmallows, wide games, and crafts, walking and cycling and plenty of time and space for chilling or chatting.
The weekend takes place in the beautiful house and grounds of the High Leigh Conference Centre in Hertfordshire.
High Leigh is easily reached by rail (Victoria line to Seven Sisters, then train to Broxbourne), or road. If you need help with transport, we can arrange that. If you think you might like to cycle, there with others let us know and we’ll put you in-touch with other riders.

The price for the weekend covers accommodation and all meals and activities from 4pm on Friday evening until 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Accommodation is in bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.
Can’t make it for the whole weekend? We also have some day tickets for the Saturday from 9am-10.30pm. The day ticket price includes lunch and dinner Email if you need help with transport from and to the station.
