December & January Newsletter

Please find attached our December and January Newsletter below which tells you what’s on over Christmas and Advent including our Carol Service.

One thing not in our newsletter is that we have finalised the date for next year’s Parish Weekend away to High Leigh which is the 7th-9th July 2023. Booking opens soon! Please save the date!

This is what is happening over the rest of 2022 and the start of 2023:

22nd 7-8pm: Carol singing on the streets. Meet at St Saviour’s to join Andrew Makower, on his accordion, with others in the parish, to sing carols and deliver Christmas invites and chocolates.

23rd 7-8pm: Carol singing on the streets. Meet at St Paul’s to join Andrew Makower, on his accordion, with others in the parish, to sing carols and deliver Christmas invites and chocolates.

24th Christingle Services 3.30pm & 5pm at St Paul’s – please book on Eventbrite to give us an idea of numbers https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/parish-of-herne-hill-28728335445

24th Midnight Communion Service 11.15pm at St Saviour’s

25th Christmas Day at St Paul’s
8am: BCP Communion, no carols
10.30am: Communion and carols

1st January 11.15am: Joint New Year’s Day service at St Paul’s

3rd January 8pm: Prayer Meeting at St Saviour’s for our Robes Homeless Shelter that starts weekly on the 4th January.

Our Playgroup, Hope Café, Warm Hub, JGL youth, Milkwood Kick, The Five, Messy Church, prayer meetings are all on a break until January. See website and team leaders for more info of restart dates.
