Fairtrade Fortnight 2022

Fairtrade Fortnight 2022

For almost 30 years, farmers in the most vulnerable countries have been the fundamental reason Fairtrade exists. The climate crisis is now one of the biggest threats to their livelihoods even though they have done the least to cause it.

We warmly invite you to join our own Eco Church action (Green and Fairtrade) group (do speak to Trevor Tayleur, chair). There are huge possibilities for what we ALL as a community can do.  We can change what we eat, buy and drive. We can change to a green energy provider.  We can “joy in enough”.  We can campaign urgently and contact our MP Helen Hayes to hold the government to it’s COP 26 promises, not allow any more fossil fuels development and commit financially to compensate communities already affected by climate change.  And we can buy lots of fairly traded goods!

There will be Traidcraft stalls after the service on 27 February at both churches. Or contact Jennie Brindley on 07713 541522 if you’d like to place an order.
