Milkwood Kick

Milkwood Kick, is a fantastic way for children aged 8 and above to learn new football skills and make new friends. Taking place every Saturday morning, during school term times, from 10 am to 11:30 am at Ruskin Park, this programme provides a fun and safe space for kids to learn the fundamentals of the game. Led by volunteer coaches, the programme focuses on developing technical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship with the main aim to teach children a positive value. Children of all skill levels are welcome, from beginners to more advanced players, and it’s a great way to promote physical activity and healthy competition. With a focus on building strong relationships within the community, Milkwood Kick is an excellent opportunity for kids to make new friends and develop a sense of belonging.

Our academy is called Milkwood Kick because it first started in Milkwood Community Park for children of that area. The season we have moved to Ruskin Park but the academy is still primarily for families who live in the Milkwood area, although others are welcome to attend who live in and around Herne Hill.
